 This course takes the estate agent/student through the entire inspection process, from writing an inspection addendum to handling post-closing complaints, covering nearly every inspection-related scenario, all with an emphasis on limiting agent liability.
About the Online courses:
Here’s what make InterNACHI’s online courses superior to existing inspection education options:
  • Most courses are free.
  • The courses are written in pure XHTML code for quick loading.  The courses load fine on old computers and load fast, even with dial-up.
  • The courses are designed using hierarchal menu coupled with sequential page navigation.  This provides the student with the option to easily repeat areas of weakness.
  • The courses permit the student to start, stop and restart any part of the course as often as desired.
  • There are a variety of images referenced within the courses, including diagrams, illustrations and pictures of actual defects.
  • Some illustrations can be enlarged for clearer viewing by clicking on them.
  • The text is integrated into InterNACHI’s Inspector Glossary.  Rolling over blue-colored terms provides their definition.
  • The final exam uses multiple-choice questions that reference the images.
  • The courses’ quizzes and final exams have numerous advantages over traditional exam systems:
    1. The courses, quizzes and final exams incorporate built-in intelligence which identifies and strengthens each student’s unique subject weaknesses.
    2. Not only is each question weighted with regard to score, but each answer is weighted, as well as the correctness of each answer being weighted.
      1. Answers to easy questions are weighted such that the student is penalized, in terms of score, for answering incorrectly, but rewarded modestly for answering correctly.
      2. Answers to difficult questions are weighted such that the student is rewarded, in terms of score, for answering correctly, but not penalized for answering incorrectly.
      3. Answers to questions regarding basic safety or questions every inspector should know the answer to are weighted to such that the student is severely penalized, in terms of score, for answering incorrectly.
  • Upon passing the final exam the student can print out a Certificate of Completion which is auto-generated in their own name.
*Online video courses:
InterNACHI and NACHI.TV have teamed up to create next-generation online education with NACHI.TV streaming video technology and InterNACHI’s state-of-the-art online education and testing systems.   You need not be a member of InterNACHI — these courses are open to all.  Each course includes:
  • free, downloadable course materials (yours to keep);
  • inexpensive online video class;
  • free online final exam;
  • free printable Certificate of Completion; and
  • InterNACHI, MICBIAC2, ASHI, and state Continuing Education approval.
InterNACHI requires that each inspector taking an online video course logs in with unique identification at the start of the course, when he or she begins watching the video portion of the course, and when he or she begins the final exam. This identification is linked both to individual e-mail and mailing addresses, and to a credit card to prevent fraud. Our video partner (Reports, Inc.) stores information regarding the time each inspector purchased the video portion of the course and when they viewed that video. This information is stored with that inspector’s unique Internet Protocol (IP) address and is verified by InterNACHI before allowing the inspector to take the final exam. Finally, InterNACHI stores the time of the final exam, how long the inspector took to complete the timed exam, his or her final score, as well as each question asked and which answer the inspector provided for that question. All this information is stored securely over distributed databases and can be verified by InterNACHI at any time.
Online and video courses:

InterNACHI…. #1 in inspector education!
The InterNACHI online CE courses are great, especially when they count in states that require this coursework. And, best of all, some of these classes are free! You saved me a ton of money this fall by having this education available online. No costs for fuel, meals and hotels!  Keep the courses coming!“ – Brian Bassett of www.wall2wallhomeinspections.com
This is really great news. For over five years now, I have had to seek CE outside of InterNACHI and it has cost me several thousand dollars to meet my state’s Continuing Education requirements. I would like to personally thank InterNACHI and the State of Mississippi for supporting all home inspectors throughout the great State of Mississippi.” — Frank Magdefrau of www.DesotoHomeInspection.com
